Cancer Survivors' Day Celebration

Middlesex Hospital will hold its Annual Cancer Survivors’ Day Celebration on Sunday, May 15, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., at the Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center, 536 Saybrook Road, Middletown.

The celebration will feature a performance by Jordi Caballero and Maureen Palacios, the ballroom dancers who star in the Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center’s current television commercial. Middlesex Hospital’s Survivors’ Day celebration will honor cancer survivors as well as the people they care about and those who care about them. Two-time “American Choreography Awards” nominee Caballero has worked with a host of celebrities including Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Cher and for movies such as “Alex and Emma” and “Valentino’s Tango.” A professional Flamenco dancer for ten years, Palacios has performed in Spain and throughout Europe and Asia.

Cancer survivors and their family and friends are invited to attend the free event featuring inspirational speakers, entertainment and refreshments. A cancer survivor is defined as anyone living with a history of cancer – this includes newly-diagnosed survivors as well as long-term survivors.
